OUR TANZANIA TOUR PACKAGE

It is a journey in Tanzania that involves spending some time in the bush watching wild animals. So, basically, a safari is any trip into the wilderness to see wildlife. That’s quite a narrow definition though. One that has evolved and expanded over the years to mean more than it once did.

Now an ‘Tanzania safari’ can be an adventure tour that spends some time in nature looking at animals, big tree and birds.

Mt. Kilimanjaro Trekking

Climbing the “Roof of Africa”, on Mt Kilimanjaro, trek with the Maasai through their cultural land. Explore the unique flora and fauna of the untouched rainforests, trekking is the best way. Experience the wonders of the stunning mountainous areas of Tanzania and to absorb the wonderful nature and beautiful landscapes.

Whether you set foot on the summits of Tanzania’s highest mountains or just walk through the lush forests on the lower slopes for a few hours – trekking in this country offers something for everyone. Volcanoes, high plateaus and mountain ranges, lakes and craters offer superb possibilities for short hikes or long treks

KILIMANJARO ROUTES

Marangu – or “Coca-Cola” – route is rightfully popular amongst Kilimanjaro climbers. It is unique in that it provides extra comfort with its permanent huts. Fabulous vistas of Kilimanjaro Mawenzi and Kibo peaks are an added advantage of Coca-Cola Route! Marangu Route offers 6 and 5-day itineraries, the latter being the way to go for experienced trekkers.

If Marangu is the “Coca Cola” route, then the Machame Route is the “Whiskey” route. It is the second most popular and one of the most scenic routes on the mountain. It is done over 6 days, so acclimatization is easier, and the success rate is fairly high.

This route is steeper and shorter than the Machame Route. Once at the Barranco Hut you continue on with the other Machame hikers. The descent is down the Mweka trail.
Since it is a very short and direct route, it is not recommended for people with little altitude experience.

The Kilimanjaro climb 8 days lemosho is the best for acclimatization. The remote is less used and beautiful way up to the Shira Plateau. The minimum duration for the Lemosho route is 6 days, however we strongly recommend hiking the route in 8 days.

This is one of the easiest and least traveled routes and the success rate are very high. The route starts on the north side of the mountain just south of the Kenyan border. The descent is down the Marangu route on the south side of the mountain, so climbers see the mountain from many view points. The drive to the trail head takes about 2.5 hours from Moshi.

NGORONGORO

Located on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, the Ngorongoro Crater is easily Tanzania’s most remarkable geological feature. The unique ecosystem of the Crater supports one of Africa’s densest populations of wildlife, making for fantastic game viewing in an even better location.

TARANGIRE

Day after day of cloudless skies. The fierce sun sucks the moisture from the landscape, baking the earth a dusty red, the withered grass as brittle as straw. The Tarangire River has shriveled to a shadow of its wet season self. But it is choked with wildlife. Thirsty nomads have wandered hundreds of parched kilometres knowing that here, always, there is water.

ZANZIBAR

For hundreds of years, traders and travellers have eulogised about Zanzibar’s intoxicating aroma of spices, its beautiful beaches and the bustle of its Moorish capital, Stone Town. It’s name alone – as evocative as Timbuktu, Casablanca or Kilimanjaro – is alluring enough for many to dream of visiting.
